Gifts for Geminis

I'd rather have electronic stuff, computer, music over anything like jewelry or flowers - and I'm a girl. Jewelry seems like such an unimaginative gift for a woman. To me it says, here, I don't know you well enough to get you something you'd really like, and I don't want to take the time to get to know you, so since you're a woman, I'll just get you jewelry.

I like getting books, monetary gifts, Cds, movies... perhaps a chance to have dinner in the restaurant of my choice or be taken out to get a piercing or tattoo.

Dinner's good too because it's a chance to have conversation, which is something I think is important to Gemini.

I think jewellery can be fab if it's chosen properly. something unique that shows they were thinking of you rather than every other woman on the street :oD

Yeah, I guess it's because I really personally just don't wear any, anyway. And given a choice, I'd rather use that money on something I'd really really want, not something that'll probably sit in a box 96% of the time.

Bottom line, which goes along with what you're saying is that after all of the conversation that Gems like to have, I think we'd rather have something that says "yes, of course I was listening when you were talking to me."

I agree completely with this.

Although, I myself do like jewelry. heh. And even flowers. Or anything, really, as long as it DOES display that element of **thinking** about what **I** would want/like/appreciate... Don't go out and get me a dozen long-stem red roses because it's "traditional;" that smacks of not having the ingenuitity to think up your own damn gift ideas. (But, by all means, go out and *make* me a bouquet of flowers you know I like.)

Gemini is an Air sign, a sign of *intellect* ... with us, it definitely IS, "The thought that counts."

I'm not big on jewellery.But if it's something from that someone special its a diff story.

But I do like getting anything that has to do with music,seems like others feel the same in the thread.As well as dinner at a resturant and such

I would rather get a simple birthday card and something that was made for me or anything people purchased because they thought of me. Like a cd/make me a cd or a book.

Things I wouldn't like.. jewelery and shoes.

I prefer to get gifts that are meaningful, sentimental or personalized for me, something that shows me they care. I hate getting generic, mass produced stuff

Ditto. The worst thing you can do is come up to me, ask me specifically what I want, and then go out and buy it. Why don't you remember something that I mentioned I like, or even *gasp* pick out something on your own that you think I would like? Even if I wouldn't normally like it, I will like it because you put thought into it. Making stuff is good too.

Jewlery = bad, but I think that goes for all women. Men just think girl-> jewelery, anything will do. I have a guy friend I've known 5 years out, we used to spend every day together, and he still bought me jewelry for EVERY ocassion. Bad jewelry. I'd wear think silver jewelry everyday, and he'd always buy me dainty gold stuff.

Prefers= books, art paraphanalia (sp?)

Dislikes= jewelery (I rarely have the same taste in jewelery as my friends/family), money/gift certificates
